Airxcel Acquires MCD Innovations

Airxcel Inc. manufacturer of specialty products sold under well-known brands Coleman Mach, MaxxAir, Suburban, Marvair and Industrial Climate Engineering (ICE) has announced the acquisition of MCD Innovations, manufacturer of specialty roller shades for RV and commercial industries effective September 1. MCD, founded in 2003 in McKinney, TX, is credited as being the creator of Day/Night roller shades found in many motorhomes, 5th wheels and travel trailers today. MCD will operate as a division of Airxcel and continue to manufacture product in their current Texas facility. “MCD is recognized as the innovator and market leader of roller shade products and fits our strategy of providing quality brands under the Airxcel umbrella,” stated Jeff Rutherford, Airxcel’s president and CEO. “MCD’s McKinney manufacturing facility is state of the art and capable of supporting our customers’ requirements efficiently, timely and cost effectively”.
